QTex AI builds intelligent design tools for hardware engineers, starting with the schematic review agent your team can trust.
Chris and Oliver met as PhD researchers at Boise State University, both building complex hardware systems. They noticed the same pattern: the majority of their time wasn’t spent designing — it was spent reading datasheets, cross-referencing specs, and manually verifying connections. Every engineer they talked to had the same problem.
They realized the tools hadn’t evolved. While software engineering had CI/CD, linters, and AI copilots, hardware engineers were still doing the same manual work they’d done for decades. So they left their programs and started building the platform they wished existed.
QTex AI was born in Boise’s startup community — supported by the same entrepreneurial ecosystem that’s turning Idaho into a tech hub. Today, with 200+ engineers on the platform and a $50K grand prize from Boise Entrepreneur Week, QTex is on a mission to develop the next generation of hardware design tools.
Chris and Oliver met as students at Boise State University building hardware systems. They spent more time reading datasheets and verifying specs than actually designing. Every engineer they talked to had the same problem.
So they started building the tool they wished existed. QTex AI is what happens when engineers build for engineers — no corporate polish, just real solutions for engineers.
Meet the experts driving our collaboration
Founder, CEO & CTO
Former PhD researcher in electrical engineering at Boise State. Chris built the core AI architecture behind Schematic Review and the HinDSight database. He’s driven by the belief that engineers should spend their time designing, not debugging datasheets.
Co-Founder, COO & CMO
Oliver brings operational rigor and go-to-market strategy to QTex. With a background in engineering and business development, he’s responsible for growing the beta community, building partnerships, and making sure QTex reaches the teams that need it most.
Software Engineer
Caleb helps build and scale the QTex platform. He works on the software infrastructure that powers the tools engineers rely on every day, focused on reliability, speed, and a seamless user experience.

CEO, DataFlow Solutions

CTO, InnovateLab
